This is so exciting! Virgin Trains USA (formerly Brighline) is working on a train that will run from South Florida directly to Walt Disney World!
On Thursday, Virgin Trains announced plans to link Sunrail's Meadow Wood station in Orlando with Disney. They will then have tracks run from South Florida up to this station and on to Disney.
"It's our expectation to get it done and to build out to Disney. It is entirely conceivable that this can happen with the delivery of the Orlando Station", said Virgin Trains President, Patrick Goddard.
As of right now, they just need to finish getting permits and financing for the project.
Virgin Trains partnered with Brightline in November and have since been turning the company over to the new name. The Miami station became "Virgin MiamiCentral" this week. The rest of the stations will be re-branded by the end of the year.
