Foo Fighters' Taylor Hawkins Gives Drum Tutorial While In Quarantine

Queen drummer Roger Taylor has been giving drum tutorials on Instagram while stuck in quarantine, and over the weekend handed the reins to Taylor Hawkins, who claimed he was a "prized" pupil of the iconic musician. In a short clip, the Foo Fighters percussionist showed followers how to keep a simple 4/4 beat and add a drum fill as a way to "kinda pass the time and have a little fun during this crazy time we're in."

The video is the first of what Taylor describes as "a short series of drum tips from the great Taylor Hawkins!" Learn Hawkins' tricks below.

Hawkins isn't the only Foo staying busy while self-quarantining. Dave Grohl was one of many artists to partake in the iHeartRadio Living Room Concert For America telecast last night (March 29), where he treated viewers to an acoustic performance of "My Hero" from his home in Hawaii, which he dedicated "to everyone on the front lines doing their best to get us through all of this."

Last week, Grohl revealed a new short story series he started while in isolation. He also promised fans that the band would tour as soon as it's safe to do so.
