Man Who Made Necklace Of Girlfriend's Teeth Sentenced To Life In Prison

A British man will spend the rest of life in prison after being convicted of murdering his girlfriend in 2017. Devon & Cornwall Police said that Dean Lowe dismembered Kirby Noden's corpse and disposed of it in trash bins down the street from his home. The only thing he kept was her teeth which he made into a necklace that he wore for months. Lowe told family and friends that Kirby left him for another man.

Lowe's family members contacted police in May after one of his cousins received an odd message from him on social media. In the message, he admitted that he put her "body in the bins down the road."

"Either I'm getting set up or I've murdered Kirby. I had a blackout, hazy memory and woke up with a body on the floor. I am scared so I just got rid[SIC]. I put the body in the bins down the road. I remember the binmen finding all the meat and didn't know what it was. The carpet was lifted because of the body matter."

When police searched his home, they discovered blood splattered over the walls and the metal pipe and rock that he used to beat Noden to death.

Police issued a statement after Lowe was convicted. In the statement, Detective Inspector Ian Ringrose said that he hopes the verdict gives Noden's family "some comfort in the conclusion of the case."

“Miss Noden’s family have been put through a living hell with Lowe not disclosing where he disposed of Kirby’s body and denying all knowledge in court. Lowe added to their upset by insisting that Kirby was still alive.

We hope today’s verdict gives them some comfort in the conclusion of the case and our thoughts and sympathies are with them.”

When Lowe was sentenced the judge said that Lowe had consistently lied during the trial and showed the "opposite of remorse".

You must have eaten, slept, watched TV and taken your drugs next to [Ms Noden's corpse] for several days, with two bull terriers in the same room.
