A 12 foot, 120 pound Burmese python that's believed to have been eating cats in a Port St. Lucie neighborhood, has been captured.

The snake was found by Sergeant John Holman with the city's police department in some brush off Southeast Faith Terrace.  He and some fellow officers were able to safely remove the large python from the brush.

They placed the snake with somebody who has a license with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
