If you drive an SUV, take care of it and keep it safe.
South Florida, including Palm Beach County, ranks number two in the nation when it comes to these types of vehicles simply vanishing. The National Insurance Crime Bureau says there were 189 SUVs that were reported stolen between 2010 and 2013 and were never found.
Authorities say some of that could be due to fake thefts in schemes to rip-off insurance companies. Only the New York area had more unrecovered sport utility vehicles.
Florida had the second most SUV thefts, following number one, California.
