A meeting between Palm Beach County's top prosecutor and West Palm Beach Police Chief Vince Demasi will happen on Monday, after it was postponed on Friday. That's when State Attorney Dave Aronberg and Demasi were originally scheduled to get together.
They'll have the chance to put aside their differences after a war of words.
It all started after a police-involved shooting of a so-called "career criminal" who is accused of trying to run over two WPB police officers and pointing a gun at one of them. Chief Demasi said Aronberg's office is not hard enough on repeat offenders, but Aronberg later accused Demasi of making "irresponsible" and "false" attacks.
He says he can only file charges if enough evidence has been gathered by police and if witnesses come forward.
