The bassist for a local rock band died in a wrong-way crash Wednesday that shut down the Northbound lanes of I-95 for the entire morning.
The Florida Highway Patrol says the wrong-way driver also died in the chain-reaction crash near Stuart. Troopers say the wrong-way vehicle was driven by 31-year-old Troy Van Snook. His vehicle slammed head-on into an SUV carrying Bryan Jackson, a member of Ghost Cat, a local band that had just performed in Lake Worth.
The drummer of the band, Karsten Andersen, was hospitalized.
Troopers are investigating whether Van Snook had been drinking or using drugs prior to the crash.
